A Preferred Future…
Vision can be defined as a clear picture of a preferred future. The preferred future of our youth ministry is to train up kingdom minded youth to experience and practice the Skyway vision to heal, train, and send. We can see our youth filled with a passion to live for Jesus and to become leaders at their schools and as they will enter the marketplace of employment in their near future. We are going to raise up multi-generational leadership from many different cultures as we prepare our youth to represent the culture of our king, the Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s all start a new beginning together as we enter into this season.

California Trip 2008

The California Trip, or better known as the CALI Trip, is a 3 day spring break trip for high school and junior high students to Southern California. This has been a LifeBlood tradition that started in 1995 and we’ve been taking young people to California’s beaches, theme parks, attractions and churches ever since. This year will be no different! We’ll be taking a luxery coach bus from Skyway Church to Newport Beach where we’ll stay at one the Newport’s best beach hotels… the Newport Channel Inn. Over the course of 3 days we’ll be going to Newport & Huntington Beach, Six Flags Magic Mountain and The Block at Orange where we definitely hope to make some memories. Dig out your sunscreen and board shorts as we break the border and head west.

For Parents
LifeBlood: More than a babysitting service!
Anyone can hire a babysitter for just a few dollars an hour. And if you’d split that with 75 other parents, you could easily afford that each week. However, we want to be more than a babysitting service–we want to partner WITH you in the spiritual education of your kids. We all know that the school isn’t doing anything to re-enforce your child’s walk with Christ (they have enough to do just educating them). Without a doubt, LifeBlood is making a difference in the lives of students. In the past year we have had multiple students convert from Wiccan (witchcraft), students set free from addictions to drugs and pornography, over 50 baptisms, and God’s not done yet!
We realize, however, that you may have some questions and concerns, so please feel free to contact us, or keep reading on this page for some of our most common questions.
What time does LifeBlood start?
LifeBlood starts every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Many students come at 6:30 to play pool, video games, or just hang out with friends and leaders.
What time is LifeBlood over?
We realize that a Wednesday is a school night, so we do our best to have your kids out by 8:45. However, if you need to pick your kids up earlier that is fine.
What can I do during LifeBlood?
You are more than welcome to stay for the service. In fact, we encourage parents to come and participate. Or you can join other adults for study and worship in the main sanctuary at 7:00 p.m.
What does service look like?
Service usually consists of fun and games, intense worship, and a message given by a leader. We don’t force your children to participate, but we do encourage it as much as possible.
Mission
To evangelize, disciple, train, and equip youth and young adults so that as they graduate from high school and move on to college or employment they are mature, passionate for Christ, and foundationally solid Christians who are ready to enter the next phase of life, serving God and being active and vital in the Kingdom of God and the community. We seek to accomplish this by taking students through six to eight years of strategic teaching, ministry, and discipleship that will give them every opportunity to come out of the program with a heart for serving and loving God for the rest of their lives. Everyone has the opportunity to make their own choices about the life they will lead, but by strategically imparting God’s principles in a well thought out progression during these critical years of life, our goal is that a great number of students who enter the program will come out spiritually ready to continue the journey to adulthood. Many youth experience a lot of spiritual discouragement in the transition from high school to college life or full-time employment, and we want to eliminate this gap by providing meaningful, fun, and focused ministry to our young adults. All of the ministries we have from junior high to young couples preparing for marriage are linked together and overlap in such a way as to keep all of the groups growing spiritually and being trained and equipped to deal with the issues that affect them most. Our goal is to create lifetime disciples that are committed to reach our community and world with the love of Christ.
About LB
We are a group of youth and young adults who are passionate about following Christ and becoming the people that God wants us to be. LifeBlood Youth Ministry has been in existence since 1987 and has helped hundreds and hundreds of young people discover the love of Christ and begin a relationship with him. We are totally committed to bring that love to our community in relevant ways. At our brand new campus in Goodyear we have:
Two sand volleyball courts
Two full-court basketball courts
